Exotics

We are excited to begin offering exotic pet care and services! Dr. Marks is now seeing exotic pocket pets (including rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, etc.) for preventative care,​ initial diagnostics, and treatment of numerous medical conditions. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to see avian or reptile patients (but hope this may change in the future). This is a brand-new endeavor for our hospital and Dr. Marks is excited to help other types of furry friends with the same standards of care and compassion as we have been showing cats and dogs for years.

New services for exotic mammals include:
Wellness exams
Husbandry and nutrition discussions
Flea, mite, and other ectoparasite prevention
Vaccines (ferrets)
Bloodwork
Digital radiography (x-rays)
Rabbit spays and neuters

Dr. Marks also treats Savannah cats. The hospital and staff are equipped to offer these exotic cats all the same services as domestic house cats including spay and neuter surgeries.

At this time, Dr. Marks is our ONLY doctor seeing exotic pets. Therefore, we do not always have a doctor on premises that is able to discuss or treat these special cases. If your pet is experiencing an urgent or emergency medical condition, please reach out to one of the following facilities:
